When Ken Goodrich bought Goettl Air Conditioning in 2013, the company had seen better days. After his purchase, the company has been rapidly expanding and entering new markets. Fixing companies is something that he has been doing throughout his career; this is the 16th time he has accomplished this feat.
Goettl Air Conditioning has been in business since 1939. It was founded two brothers, Adam and Gust Goettl. It has seen several owners, including an out-of-state company that owned it for the previous five years before Ken Goodrich took over. At the time he bought Goettl, it was losing money and the employees were demoralized. The previous owners had also been accused by Arizona attorney general as engaging in shady business practices.
Right away, Ken Goodrich set about increasing employee morale and recapturing the trust of consumers. As part of this, he talked to his employees daily about being positive and doing right by their customers. He also instituted charitable giving at the company, including delivering 50,000 cases of bottled water for use by the homeless. In another example, he installed a free unit in the home of an elderly lady who couldn’t afford a desperately needed new unit.
Today, Goettl is a strong brand once again and is expanding into new communities across the southwest. In 2016, the company reentered the Las Vegas market and has already established itself as a leading HVAC provider. Ken also has teams of buyers looking at businesses in California that can be acquired by his company.
Goettl supplies its products and services to residences and small businesses. They can install, maintain, and repair air conditioning units, heaters, and light commercial HVAC systems. They also address the need to for indoor air quality by cleaning HVAC equipment as well as cleaning and repairing ducts.
One of the new cornerstones of Goettl is that they are reliable. The technicians show up on time, perform their work efficiently, and make 100% sure everything is properly working before they leave the site. They also install systems that incorporate the latest in heating and cooling technology that are energy efficient and dependable.
